Every Short you clip with Video Clipper now comes with automatic captions burned into the video. We use the same AI transcript that powers clip detection to generate word-by-word subtitles, so your Shorts are more engaging, accessible, and ready for silent viewing—with no extra step from you.
Why captions on Shorts matter
Most viewers watch Shorts with sound off. Burned-in captions keep them reading and watching longer. They also improve accessibility and help your clips perform better in feeds. Video Clipper has always used transcripts to find the best moments; now that transcript becomes visible captions on every clip.
How it works
When we cut a Short from your long-form video, we build an SRT from the clip's segment of the transcript—word-level timing, millisecond precision. That SRT is burned into the video in the same pass as our frosted-glass effect, so you get one export: a Short with styled captions at the bottom. No separate caption track to upload, no manual step. Same pipeline, now with captions by default.
Styled for Shorts
Captions use a clear, readable font and are positioned so they work on mobile. They're part of the video file, so they show up everywhere: YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or any platform you export to. One clip, one file, captions included.
