Your Free Credits Now Work on Long Videos

September 23, 2026 · Video Clipper

Until today, our 20 free credits came with a catch. Most podcasts, streams, and interviews run longer than 20 minutes, and pasting one got you an "insufficient credits" error and zero clips. Now we clip the first 20 minutes instead.

What used to happen

One credit covers one minute of video, so 20 credits cover 20 minutes. We checked your balance against the whole video before doing anything. A 70-minute podcast needs 70 credits, you had 20, and the job stopped there. You never saw a single clip, so you never found out whether Video Clipper works on your content. That's a free trial that doesn't let you try anything.

What happens now

If your video is longer than your free credits cover, we process the opening stretch. Paste that same 70-minute podcast and we transcribe, rank, and cut the first 20 minutes into captioned Shorts, using the same pipeline as a paid run. That's typically around six clips you can download or upload straight to YouTube and Instagram.

Your project page tells you exactly what you're looking at: you're seeing the first 20 of 70 minutes. No guessing whether something went wrong.

Already used some credits? You still get the rest

We process 20 minutes or whatever your remaining credits cover, whichever is smaller. Spent 5 credits on a short video? Your next long one gets 15 minutes. Below 5 credits, a run is too short to find much, so we'll ask you to top up instead of handing you a two-minute sample.

Want the whole video?

Add credits and hit Process all 70 minutes on the same project. The full run starts from the beginning, so finishing a 70-minute video costs 70 credits. The Starter pack is $15 for 450 credits, enough for 6 videos that long. Checkout brings you straight back to the video you were working on.

Once you've bought credits, every video you paste is processed in full. The 20-minute limit only applies to free credits.
