Upload to Instagram: Reels, Stories, and Timeline from Video Clipper

March 16, 2025 · Video Clipper

You can now upload your clipped Shorts to Instagram from Video Clipper. Connect your Instagram account once in your profile, then from any short clip hit the Instagram Upload button—add a caption, choose Reels, Stories, or Timeline, and you're done. Same one-click flow you use for YouTube, now for Instagram.

How it works

In your Profile, you'll see a new "Connect Instagram" card. Click it once to link your Instagram account (we use our partner Post for Me, just like for YouTube). Once connected, every clip card has two upload options: one for YouTube Shorts and one for Instagram. Click the Instagram Upload button, add an optional caption, pick where to post—Reels, Stories, or Timeline—and submit. The clip is sent to Instagram with no download or re-upload step.

Reels, Stories, or Timeline

When you upload to Instagram, you choose the placement: Reels for short-form feed, Stories for 24-hour posts, or Timeline for a classic feed post. One clip, one click, and you decide where it lives. Perfect for repurposing the same Short across both YouTube and Instagram without manual work.

One Posts page for YouTube and Instagram

The Posts page now lets you switch between YouTube and Instagram. Use the platform tabs at the top to see your YouTube Shorts or your Instagram posts, each with status (draft, scheduled, processing, published). One place to track everything you've sent from Video Clipper.

Connect one or both

You can connect YouTube only, Instagram only, or both. Each connection is independent—so if you're only creating for Instagram Reels right now, connect Instagram and start uploading. Add YouTube later when you're ready. Same credits, same clips, more places to publish.
